Watch Shutter Island Online Free – Shutter Island is a upcoming horror thriller directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Leonardo DiCaprio. This is their 4th film together. Their previous movies are Gangs of Big Apple, The flier, and The Departed. Shutter Island is the screen adaptation of Dennis Lehane’s 2003 novel. Lehane also wrote mystic brook. The production for Shutter Island started on March 2008. the movie was shot in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Nova Scotia.
The movie is set in 1954. It is about 2 US marshals who analyze the disappearance of a patient from a hospital for the criminal insane on an island in Massachusetts. They understand that they are in trouble after conning the hospital’s chief administrator and a hurricane hits. Worse comes to worse when an inmate traps them on the island.
In an interview for Total Film magazine, Scorsese announces that one of his influences on making Shutter Island was Orson Welles’ 1962 film The Trial – an adaptation of Franz Kafka’s novel – in particular the use of the corridors, tunnels, angular lenses, and claustrophobic ceilings. Scorsese was also extremely particular of the costume as he believes that these are critical factors for characterization. He points out that the striking choice can leave subconscious imprint of personality’s essence in the beholder mind : in Shutter Island, he made Dr. Cawley smoke pipes and in some scenes of the film, he is covered by a cloud of smoke which provides a cloak of poser and malice. – Watch Shutter Island Online Stream
DiCaprio is Teddy Daniels, a US marshal investigating the disappearance of the patient. Ruffalo is Chuck Alue, the US marshal who joins Teddy in the inquiry. Ben Kingsley is the infirmary’s chief physician Dr. John Cawley. Michelle Williams is Daniel’s other half Dolores Chanal. Emily Mortimer is the escaped patient Rachel Solando. Max Von Sydow is Dr. Jeremiah Naering a top physician in the surgery. Jackie Earle Haley is George Noyce, the mutilated patient. Patricia Clarkson is Ethel Barton.
